Rishi Singh crowned Indian Idol 13 winner, wins Rs 25 lakh prize; Debosmita Roy named first runner-up

The Indian Idol 13 season came to an end on Sunday night with Rishi Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya emerging as the winner. Kolkata’s Debosmita Roy was the first runner-up while Jammu’s Chirag Kotwal took the third place on the show. The finalists of the show were Bidipta Chakraborty, Sonakshi Kar, Chirag Kotwal, Shivam Singh, Rishi and Debosmita.

Rishi Singh was declared the winner and was awarded the trophy, a new car, and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. Overwhelmed by his win, Rishi said in a statement, “I still can’t believe that I won the Indian Idol 13 trophy. The feeling is surreal! It was a dream come true moment for me when my name was announced as the winner of this season.”

Rishi expressed his gratitude to the channel, the judges, and the entire team of Indian Idol for giving him and other contestants such a wonderful platform to showcase their talent. He also thanked his fans and viewers for their support and votes.

Debosmita Roy, who has been a fan favorite, was the first runner-up of Indian Idol 13. She said, “I can’t believe I had the opportunity to perform on such a huge platform in front of all the judges and special guests. It is a great achievement for me to see the smile and the pride in my parent’s eyes.”

Debosmita also thanked her parents for their support and credited them for her success. “When my name was announced as one of the finalists, it felt like I had already won the trophy. I owe it all to my parents,” she said.

The Indian Idol 13 finale was a grand affair with some of the biggest names from the music industry, including AR Rahman, Amit Trivedi, and Vishal Dadlani, performing on the show. The judges, Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and Vishal Dadlani, were also seen performing on the show.
